uchwałą Rady Wydziału Automatyki, Elektroniki i Informatyki Politechniki Śląskiej uzyskał, dnia 9 marca 2004 roku, stopień doktora habilitowanego nauk technicznych, na podstawie rozprawy habilitacyjnej Optymalizacja metrologiczna pomiaru strumienia płynu za pomocą przepływomierzy próbkujących.
Dyscyplina naukowa: automatyka i robotyka (specjalność: metrologia, miernictwo przemysłowe).

By the resolution of the Council of the Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronics and Computer Science, The Silesian University of Technology, on 9 March, 2004, he obtained higher doctor's degree of technical science (D.Sc.), on the basis of the D.Sc. dissertation Metrological optimization of flow-rate measurement with help of sampling flowmeters.

Prof. dr hab. inż. Tadeusz Skubis,

dyrektor Instytutu Metrologii i Automatyki Elektrotechnicznej Politechniki Śląskiej, członek Komitetu Metrologii i Aparatury Naukowej PAN, otrzymał tytuł profesora nauk technicznych 11 maja 2005 r.

Head of Institute of Measurements and Automatic Control in Electrical Engineering, member of Committee on Metrology and Scientific Instrumentation of Polish Academy of Sciences, received the title of professor of technical sciences on May 11, 2005.

Dr hab. inż. Andrzej Bień,

St. Staszica uzyskał, w dniu 1 lipca 2005 roku, stopień doktora habilitowanego nauk technicznych, na podstawie rozprawy habilitacyjnej Metrologia jakości energii elektrycznej w obszarze niskoczęstotliwościowych zaburzeń napięcia sieci. Dyscyplina naukowa: elektrotechnika (specjalność: metrologia, miernictwo przemysłowe).

Uchwałą Rady Wydziału Elektrotechniki i Automatyki Politechniki Gdańskiej uzyskał, dnia 7 lipca 2005 roku, stopień doktora habilitowanego nauk technicznych, na podstawie rozprawy habilitacyjnej Nowa metoda diagnostyki łożysk silnika indukcyjnego oparta na pomiarze i analizie widmowej prądu zasilającego.
